Sgt. BARK
Sgt. BARK began in 2016 as a way to educate adults on how to talk to children at an age-appropriate level about body boundaries and preventing child sexual abuse. As our family navigated this difficult time in our lives, we felt a strong calling to help other families. We also learned how prevalent child sexual abuse is in military communities and what little is being done to stop it.
Over time, Sgt. BARK also became a way to help children understand other difficult topics. Every child goes through something hard, and as parents, we do our best to help our children prevent, overcome, or heal through difficult times.
This became incredibly evident to us when my cousin lost his young son Drayke to suicide after years of trying to intervene against a school bully who tormented Drayke. A kindness Sgt. BARK coloring book was designed to help his parents and their non-profit to talk about this devastating topic in a way that could help teach other children and their parents how much prevention saves lives.
All coloring books are copyright material and may be used and downloaded for free for personal use, schools, and youth groups/churches. They may not be reprinted or sold.

01
Body Boundaries
Preventing child sexual abuse is an adult responsibility, yet we recognize that children have a right to know that their bodies belong to them. Sgt. BARK is a kid-friendly educational tool to help kids learn and understand their rights in an age-appropriate manner - and teaches them to speak up (BARK) if boundaries are crossed.

BARK for Adoption
Sgt. BARK was once the only pup in his loving home—but he always felt something was missing. One day, his humans brought home a shy, spotted little pup named Bella. At first, Bella was nervous. Everything was new. But Sgt. BARK remembered what it felt like to wonder if you belonged—and he was ready to teach her the B.A.R.K. way to feel safe, loved, and home.

Each letter in B.A.R.K. becomes a moment in their journey as Bella learns she’s truly part of the family.
