About me
I’m Elizabeth Peace, and Motherhood, Lately grew out of a season of life where everything felt both meaningful and overwhelming at the same time.
Before motherhood reshaped my priorities, my career was my north star. I worked as a journalist and later in senior public affairs roles across federal agencies and military organizations, telling complex stories, managing high-stakes communication, and helping leaders navigate moments that mattered. I loved the work. I still do. But twice in my life, I stepped away from it, not because I lacked ambition, but because my children needed more of me than my calendar allowed. Those decisions changed the shape of my career, but they also opened the door to a deeper, more intentional way of living and creating.
Motherhood taught me that growth doesn’t always look like forward momentum. Sometimes it looks like pausing, recalibrating, or choosing presence over productivity. It taught me that identity isn’t lost when it evolves, and that strength can be quiet, steady, and deeply personal. As a military spouse and mother of two, I have lived the tension of holding many roles at once: leader, advocate, caregiver, partner, and still, myself.
Motherhood, Lately is where all of that comes together. It’s a space for honest reflection on motherhood, womanhood, and the seasons of life that don’t fit neatly into highlight reels or checklists. Here, I write and create for women who are capable, thoughtful, and tired in ways that aren’t always visible. Women who love their families deeply, still want more for themselves, and are learning that both things can be true at once.
This isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters with intention. Through writing, resources, and creative projects, my goal is to offer clarity, permission, and calm in a world that constantly asks women to hustle harder and hold it all together. If you’re navigating change, redefining success, or simply trying to breathe a little easier in the middle of real life, you’re in the right place.
